Bell’s “Wedding Ale”

Style: American Wheat Ale

ABV: 7.5%

Notes: Originally created  for the nuptials of one their brewers, Wedding Ale is one of the rare Bell’s brands to use spices. A subtle blend of orange peel and coriander enhance the aromatic profile of this golden ale. Brewed with a combination of wheat and pale malts, Wedding Ale is fermented with their signature house ale yeast. A light touch of European hops rounds out the beer, while a generous addition of honey adds a dry complexity rather than sweetness.

Boulevard/Tech N9ne “Bou Lou”

Style: American Pale Wheat Ale

ABV: 5.5%

Notes: In 1989, Boulevard Brewing Company released its first beer. Shortly thereafter, Tech N9ne began his musical career. In the years since, both have flourished beyond their wildest dreams, becoming beloved institutions in their shared hometown of KC, and parts well beyond. This, then, was the collaboration that was meant to be. One of Boulevard’s most popular brews hooks up with one of Tech N9ne’s best-loved tunes to give birth to a badass wheat beer bursting with pineapple and coconut, DWAMN!!!

Boulevard “Bully! Porter”

Style: American Porter

ABV: 6%

Notes: The intense flavors of dark-roasted malt in Boulevard’s rendition of the classic English Porter are perfectly balanced by a generous and complex hop character. Bully Porter’s robust nature makes it the ideal companion to a variety of foods, from seafood to chocolate.

Boulevard “Easy Sport Recreation Ale”

Style: American Blonde Ale

ABV: 4.1%

Notes: A bright, refreshing, super drinkable ale with a hint of citrus, Easy Sport is a perfect fit for an active lifestyle. Beginning with a clean, easy-drinking blonde ale recipe, Boulevard adds electrolytes to an extended mash and boil to create a deliciously dry, beautifully balanced beer. At the end of fermentation, they add more electrolytes and a touch of tangerine peel, resulting in a slightly tart, subtly salty, all-natural, low calorie, carb-conscious beer.

Boulevard “Hibiscus Gose”

Style: Gose

ABV: 4.2%

Notes: Boulevard’s version of an annual, yet resurgent, beer style. It pays tribute to the pleasantly sour, slightly salty wheat beers that originated in Goslar and became popular in Leipzig, Germany around the late 1800’s. A great introductory sour beer, Hibiscus Gose receives coriander and sea salt during boiling, then they steep dried hibiscus flowers at the end to create a vibrant pink hue. The result is a tangy, sweet and sour ale with a refreshing citrus character.

Boulevard “Smooth Fuzz Apricot Sour Ale”

Style: American Wild Ale

ABV: 7.2%

Notes: This complex beer is a mélange of Belgian-style ales aged in oak barrels and foeders for up to 36 months. Tart and funky, Smooth Fuzz rested on whole apricots prior to bottling to infuse juicy stone fruit flavors, which mingle with the mixed fermentation character provided by Boulevard’s house lactobacillus and brettanomyces cultures.

Flying Dog “Dead Rise Old Bay Summer Ale”

Style: Spiced Beer

ABV: 5.5%

Notes: Skillful in shallow waters, yet adept when it becomes deep and rough, Dead Rise boats were specifically crafted to navigate the unique waters of the Chesapeake. Flying Dog’s Dead Rise, a summer ale brewed with Old Bay, was brewed to support True Blue, a groundbreaking initiative to support the Maryland Blue Crab industry. There is a light at the end of the tunnel, and that light is knowing that Dead Rise returns today. That euphoric feeling is natural. Let it wash over you. We can wait. It also feels good to know that Flying Dog put the world’s first and only Old Bay Summer Ale in a six pack cans, creating the perfect miniature briefcase for your summer office…if your office is located on a beach, a boat, a hammock, or a newspaper-lined picnic table.
